Featured Artist

James Scott - Flute
James Scott´s distinguished musical career includes both performance and academic positions. After earning a bachelor of music degree from Oberlin Conservatory, a master of music in flute, a master of music in piano, and a doctor of musical arts from Peabody Conservatory, Scott spent nearly 30 years at Rutgers University as a full-time faculty member.

In 1994, Scott became associate dean for instruction and professor of flute at Indiana University. Three years later he became director for the School of Music at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During this time Scott also performed with the Atlanta Symphony, Camerata...more
